I love to write so decided to start this blog. Here, I am going to share a range of cleaning tips with an emphasis on the "old school", homemade or natural tips. Two Common Uses For Pressure Cleaners

Marta Vicente

Here are two common uses for pressure cleaners.

Cleaning large outdoor surfaces

Cleaning companies that have pressure cleaning equipment are often hired by property owners who need their large outdoor surfaces washed. Some examples of these surfaces might include a drained swimming pool, a driveway and a deck. A pressure cleaner is the perfect tool for this type of cleaning project. The reason for this is that it can allow the person using it to quickly remove debris and dirt from a very large surface, even if some of the dirt and debris is engrained into that surface. For example, the algae that can grow on the walls of a swimming pool can be tough to wash off by hand. However, the force that a pressure cleaner's water jet can apply to the object it's pointed at is so strong that it can usually break apart and fully remove a big patch of algae in a few minutes. In contrast, it might take a person hours to scrub the algae off by hand.

Likewise, if a person's concrete driveway is covered in oil stains from their vehicles, as well as dirt that's become embedded into the concrete's porous surface, they might benefit from using a pressure cleaner. The strong water jet this equipment produces could penetrate the concrete's pores and mechanically dislodge the dirt and oil before washing it, and any detergent that's been applied to this area, down the nearest drain. As such, a person with a pressure cleaner could wash a driveway in a fraction of the time that a person with manual cleaning tools could.

Cleaning vehicles

People with vehicles will also often rent or buy pressure cleaners from cleaning businesses. Anyone who drives their car on rural roads regularly, or who needs to drive in the rain a lot, will end up with a lot of mud on their tyres and vehicle panels due to the dirt from the road splattering onto these parts as the vehicle travels over them. Similarly, anyone who needs to park their vehicle outdoors will probably get quite a lot of bird droppings on their roof, windscreen and boot.

However, even after the mud and droppings have dried onto the surfaces they've landed on, a pressure cleaner can loosen and wash off this debris in minutes. It's particularly useful for removing dirt from the small, narrow treads of car tyres (which can be hard to wash by hand). It is important for those interested in using pressure cleaners for washing their vehicles to adjust the equipment to its lowest pressure setting initially and only use the higher settings when necessary. The reason for this is that the water jet could cause indentations on the vehicle panels if the equipment is used on a higher setting for too long.
